BDT sponsors a monthly dance in the various ballroom dances, including Standard and Smooth, Latin and Rhythm, Swing (including East Coast, West Coast and Hustle) and Argentine Tango, with the occasional Country. Preceding each dance we sponsor a dance lesson in one of the many forms of ballroom, generally taught by a local instructor. At intermission, we often sponsor demonstration dances featuring local talent. Generally, dance music is supplied by a DJ, in order to keep dances affordable for all, and because many dancers prefer the tempo and variety of DJ music.

Ballroom Dancers of Tulsa (BDT) is a local chapter of the USA Dance, Inc., Chapter 5023. BDT is a non-profit organization run by volunteers and funded entirely by membership fees and admission fees to individual dances.
If you do not have a partner or want to dance with a dance host, we provide a female dance host as well as male dance hosts during our monthly dance.
